Dejan Mrkic is a filmmaker based in the San Francisco Bay Area. He grew up in Australia while his early life in the former Yugoslavia shaped his interest in portraits of isolated individuals trying to make sense of the world against the backdrop of domestic dysfunction. His work has been featured by American Cinematheque, Directors’ Library and the Australian Directors’ Guild.
