The Poetic Photography and Film Workshop for children, held as part of the Split Film Festival, is conceived as a creative and exploratory process. Through photography and film, participants will observe the architecture of Split’s historic centre and explore how it influences the way we see and move through space. Through movement and artistic means of expression, the children will capture their own inner experience of the outside world.
Over the course of four days, participants will engage in photography, filmmaking, collage-making, walks through the centre of Split, historical research, and an introduction to artistic processes. Through these activities, children will acquire new skills in photography and film, have the opportunity to develop their sensory awareness, and strengthen their planning, decision-making, and execution skills. The process encourages creativity as an important element of personal development.
At the end of the workshop, an exhibition of the works created by the participants is planned as part of the Split Film Festival.
