Let’s Pretend – Diego Fossati

The grown-ups are not there. The children play, they act. The script they enact through mimicry is the world that is raising them. It is a frightening, cruel world: it is us. But they are only pretending.

Diego Fossati

Diego Fossati, born on February 27, 2002, in Sesto San Giovanni. He studied cinema at ITSOS Albe Steiner while attending a preparatory year in theatre directing at the Paolo Grassi School of Dramatic Arts. He then graduated in film directing at the Luchino Visconti School of Cinema and is currently enrolled in the directing program at the Centro Sperimentale di Cinematografia in Rome. Alongside his studies, he has made several independent short films, including Fratello documentario (2023), winner of the Prospettive competition at Filmmaker Fest, Noi, nessuna persona plurale (2023), distributed by Sayonara Film and in the WeShort catalog, and Per finta (2024), presented at the 43rd Bellaria Film Festival in the Princìpî Italiani section, a career boost project in collaboration with Lago Film Fest.
