On their first chance meeting two years ago, Jonah Belsky and Ian Memgard agreed to make a movie and have since devoted themselves to the art of doing the most with the least, creating independent films driven more by imagination than budget. Jonah is an award-winning filmmaker, having won Best Experimental Short at the Berlin Independent Film Festival in 2021, while Ian plays in the band Calamity Jane and Wild Bill and serves as a board member of the literary magazine Purgatory Magazine. Together, they make films with an affection for melodrama, strange encounters, and the catastrophes of love.
