Impakt is an independent organisation for contemporary sound and image, based in Utrecht, The Netherlands. Our main projects are the Impakt Festival, the Impakt Events, Impakt Works and Impakt Online.
The Impakt organisation was founded in 1988 with the explicit purpose of paying attention to various art forms and the relationship between them. Hence our objective is to present and stimulate multimedia and interdisciplinary arts. We present film and video art, music and sound art, performances, new media, installations and other kinds of media related art projects. Impakt brings together audiovisual artists, critics and the general public in order to discuss about old and new media and their role in society and arts.
