persistence of fear, and the desire to escape. The run becomes both a physical and psychological act: an attempt to outrun an inner state, a place, or something that can never truly be left behind

Toni Meštrović (Split, 1973) is a Croatian multimedia artist whose practice encompasses. Film, video, sound, and audiovisual installations. His artistic practice explores the cyclicality of time, spatial specificity, identity, and social transformations. Utilizing local elements of the
Mediterranean landscape, particularly the sea and island life, Meštrović critically reflects on deep societal and cultural issues. His works frequently incorporate specific historical and acoustic characteristics of locations. He has received several artistic awards and actively
participates in numerous national and international exhibitions and festivals. Meštrović is currently a professor at the Arts Academy, University of Split. He lives and works in Rijeka, Kaštela, and Drvenik Veli island.
