Based on the director’s work of the same name, the film tells the story of Miquel, an 11-year-old boy, during a summer in the 1950s. His adventures in the woods and his dreams of traveling to unusual places will awaken in him a longing for freedom and… the nomadic impulse.
Jordi Esteva, writer and photographer, is passionate about Eastern and African cultures, to which he dedicates most of his journalistic and photographic work. I have lived for five years in Egypt working at Radio Cairo International. During those years he documented daily life in the desert, as collected in “The Oases of Egypt” (Ed. Lunwerg 1995). Editor-in-chief and art director of the magazine Ajoblanco between 1987 and the summer of 1993. Since then he has written books, made documentaries and photography exhibitions.
