Ante Verzotti

Ante Verzotti (b. 1942, Split) is a Croatian photographer, cinematographer, and filmmaker. He graduated in cinematography from FAMU in Prague in 1973 and later taught at art academies in Split. He was a member of the Split Cinema Club and the Split School of Film, making 13 short films and earning the title of Master of Amateur Film in 1967. Among his best-known works are Twist-twist, Lens, and Fluorescences. As a director of photography, he worked on films including Chronicle of a Crime and The Seasons. He is also a prominent art photographer known for his images of Dalmatia and everyday life in Split, with 25 solo exhibitions and the photo monograph Split (2004).
