Chad Zemel

Chad Zemel is a Los Angeles-based writer-director whose films explore youth development, identity, self-esteem and relationships, often against vivid, fantastical backdrops.

His short film, DL GUY, a superhero story about gender identity, premiered at Oscar®-qualifying festivals including Santa Fe International and Out On Film, and won Best Comics-Oriented Film at San Diego Comic-Con. He is currently developing his feature directorial debut, a coming-of-age fantasy adventure.

Chad also serves as a Global Production Operations Executive at Amazon MGM Studios and mentors emerging storytellers through the Los Angeles LGBT Center and his alma mater, the University of Georgia.
