Commissioned by a fence, two black metal musicians steal an antique journal from the home of a deceased Orientalist. They soon discover that the book contains an account of a mysterious ritual. The nighttime theft leads to a sinister bargain that forces a choice between life and conscience.
My name is Nikita Kuznetsov. I am a geophysicist by profession, working in oil and gas exploration, although I never wanted to make it my life. Cinema has long been my main passion, something I think about almost constantly. Metanoia is my first narrative short film. What fascinates me most about cinema is editing: how a few simple, sometimes almost meaningless shots, placed side by side, can create new meaning and change the way a person sees the world.
