Salh Diab / Yoni Gueta

A living machine resides in an unknown, empty space. The machine consists of three different mechanical characters: two big main mechanisms, seemingly at war with each other, and a fragile bridging mechanism resolved to rebel against the endless work.

Salh Diab
Full name Salh Helmy Diab, born and in Tamra, Israel/Palestine in 1980. After high school, he studied various subjects: electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, computer generated animation, and eventually, hand drawn and stop motion animation at the Bezalel Academy of Arts and Design, Jerusalem. He left school after two years at Bezalel, and started working on an independent stop motion film with Yoni Gueta, which took 3 years to complete. Currently, Salh is producing 3D simulations of architectural plans for private homes and public buildings.

Yoni Gueta
Born in Netanya, Israel in 1980. He took an interest in drawing at an early age, and spent most of high school doodling in classes. During mandatory military service he served three years as a civilian policeman. At 22 Yoni travelled and worked for about a year in Australia and Florida. On return to Jerusalem, he started studying animation at the Bezalel Academy of Arts and Design. After two years, he left school in pursuit of an independent career, and started work on a stop motion project conceived by Salh Diab.
