While his partner lives through war in Beirut, a young man tends to his cat and empty apartment in Brussels, caught between the safety of distance and the growing unease of conflict he experiences only through messages, videos, and silence.

Mon Dewulf

Mon Dewulf (°1997, West Flanders) studied clinical psychology at Ghent University and audiovisual arts at KASK School of Arts. Based in Brussels, he makes films that are often personal or autobiographical, exploring queer identity and intimacy. His work takes on hybrid forms between documentary and fiction. Far from Beyrouth is his graduation film at KASK.
